Dodital remains swarmed by the devotees from all around the India. It is nature’s treasure house and hence is frequented by fervent nature admirers and adventure enthusiasts as well. The oak, deodar, rhododendron and pine forests around the Dodital Lake are filled with exquisite wilderness. This lake and forests offer a perfect platform for various recreational and adventure activities such as trekking, bird watching, nature walk, angling and boating.

It is an ideal trek for novice trekkers. Passing through Darwa Top, it is a two-day trek to Hanuman Chatti from Dodital. Darwa Top bestows the tourists the spellbinding vistas of majestic Garhwal Himalayas. The trek then incorporates a one-day trail to Yamunotri. Yamunotri is the originating point of holy Yamuna River. It is located at an elevation of about 10800 feet. A trail of around 1,000 meters from Yamunotri takes the tourists to the original source of Yamuna River. The major attraction of Dodital-Yamunotri Trek is the Yamunotri Temple. During this trek, one can also visit Ruinsara Lake. Summer season is the peak time to undertake this sanctified and enthralling trek.

Day 1: RISHIKESH

All the participants are requested to assemble at GMVN-Tourist Rest House, Muni-ki-Reti, Rishikesh. Dinner and overnight at TRH, Muni-ki-Reti, Rishikesh.

Day 2: UTTARKASHI

Drive to Uttarkashi, 155 kms away. Hot lunch will be served en-route. Dinner and overnight stay at TRH, Uttarkashi.

Day 3: KALYANI

The third day will see the commencement of the trek. Drive for 17 kms to Kalyani. Then the trek starts. Trek for 6 kms trek to Agoda with a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

Day 4: DODITAL

Start the 16 kms trek to Dodital with a packed lunch. Enjoy nature’s bounty surrounded by dense Oak Woods, Pine, Deodar and Rhododendrons. One can enjoy recreation activities like angling, boating and bird watching. Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

Day 5: SEEMA

Next morning, buck up for a 16 kms trek to Seema with a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

Day 6: HANUMANCHATTI

Start the 18 kms trek to Hanumanchatti with packed lunch. Take the trek via Darwa Top and enjoy the majestic view of the Himalayan Ranges including Bandarpoonch, Kala Naag etc. Dinner and overnight stay at TRH Hanumanchatti.

Day 7: YAMUNOTRI

The 14 kms trek to Yamunotri starts on the 7 day. One can visit the Yamunotri temple here. It is a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The temple opens its doors in May. Dinner and overnight stay in TRH.

Day 8: HANUMANCHATTI

It’s time to descend. Next day, start the 14 kms trek back to Hanumanchatti with a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at TRH Hanumanchatti.

Day 9: RISHIKESH

On the 9th day, the tour concludes. Start your 212 kms drive to Rishikesh via Mussoorie. Lunch will be served enroute. Arrival in Rishikesh. Tour concludes.
